Dishub will Rerouting 120 KWK Routes

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) will reroute 120 Koperasi Wahana Kalpika (KWK)'s public transportation routes in Jakarta soon. It needs to be done thus no more overlapping routes between public transportation.

This is done to prevent overlapping routes between Transjakarta and other public transportation

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah said, this rerouting is scheduled to be started next week. Previously, his side has also conducted rerouting for large and medium buses.

"There are about 120 KWK routes that will be rerouting. This is done to prevent overlapping routes between Transjakarta and other public transportation," he explained after Focus Group Discussion (FGD) themed Rerouting and Public Transportation Management which held in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Monday (9/4).

10 Routes of KWK Integrated with Transjakarta

According to him, generally, routes will be decreased after rerouting. Because this was happened to large and medium bus rerouting before. At first, there were 53 routes for large bus and after rerouting, it became 20 routes. While for medium bus was from 84 into 46 routes.

"So, we delete all the routes that intersect each other to prevent overlap," he said.

He added that large and medium bus rerouting are still not perfect thus needs to be evaluated continuously. Thus later people can have an optimal transportation service.

"For KWK, we will do it next week. While for large and medium bus are still in refinement progress," he closed.
